About American Angels, Inc.
American Angels Inc. was established over 15 years ago by CJ Kimfon, a registered nurse with a Masters in Nursing and Business. CJ had a sincere interest in improving the welfare of adults with physical and mental disabilities.
Over the years American Angels has grown to include 4 care facilities, multiple semi-independent living options and many support services. Our growth has been in response to the changing needs of our local communities and our goal is to continue to meet those needs.
Our programs now include community-based services such as transportation to appointments, grocery shopping and leisure activities.

A Family Environment
Our residents are part of our family. We want every resident to spend their golden years with comfort and peace of mind.

Aster Residence in Canton provides memory care for residents living with dementia. Staff are on site 24 hours a day.
Mental Health Care at Ashby Place
Ashby Place in Westland is a 6-bed adult foster care home for adults living with mental illness. Care follows a person-centered approach.
Respite Care at Sanctuary at Auburn
Sanctuary at Auburn, our 20-bed home in the Auburn countryside, offers respite care for families who care for a loved one at home. Short-term stays give caregivers a break while their loved one receives 24-hour care. Call to ask about availability.

Placement
We help individuals and families find placement in adult foster care or semi-independent living. We look at each person’s care needs and preferences before recommending a home.
Healthcare Navigation
We help you apply for benefits and complete the required paperwork, then connect you with the healthcare services you or your loved one need.
Guardianship Services
We provide guardianship for individuals who are unable to make decisions for themselves. Each client has a written plan with short-term and long-term goals, developed through person-centered planning.
Professional Peer Consultation
For those interested in opening a care home, we offer guidance from finding a property and preparing the paperwork through the final inspection.

Our Auburn homes serve Bay County, and our Canton and Westland homes serve Wayne County. We also work with families in Oakland County and throughout Michigan.
